'Thank you' from the Hemlock Valley Ski & Board Club!

On behalf of the Hemlock Valley Ski and Board Club I wish to give a huge thank you to the Hemlock Valley community for its support at last week's Valentine's Dinner/Dance. The turnout was great and the generous biding on the silent auction was even better. The money raised will go directly towards the continued operation of our club so that we can continue to deliver quality programs to the racers. Once again, thank you.

P.S. Next year will be even better!

 Sincerely,

Peter Liljedahl, President HVSBC

  Valentine's Day Dinner/Dance

The Annual Hemlock Ski Club's Valentine's Day Dinner/Dance is now set. It is going to be February 16th in the Cafeteria portion of the Hemlock Resort Lodge. Doors open at 7:00, dinner is at 7:30, live band comes on after 8:00.  There will be a silent auction with proceeds going to the Hemlock Ski Club.

As this is one of the main fundraisers for the Ski Club we are looking for generous members of the community to donate silent auction items.  If you have a product or a service that can be auctioned at this event, please contact Peter Liljedahl (liljedahl@sfu.ca) - your contribution would be GREATLY appreciated.

Please come out and join in this great community event and support the Ski Club.  Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased at the resort front counter starting Saturday, Feb 2nd.  Tickets will also be available at the HVHA Annual Meeting on February 7th.  Tickets MUST be purchased by Sunday Feb 10th.

If you have any questions please contact Peter Liljedahl at liljedahl@sfu.ca.  Thank you.

Thursday, December 13, 2007

The 'new and improved' Molly Hogan's Bar & Grill is opening its doors for the first time this Season at 4:00 p.m. today.  Let's hope there's a great turnout for the Grand Opening!

Pray for Snow!

We’re not kidding - snow fell at Hemlock Valley during the first few days of October.  We could hardly believe it – and we have heard from reliable sources that this Winter is going to be colder, and wetter, than normal – we all know what that means – wonderful snow conditions!  Finger and toe crossing, as well as prayers to the mystical snow maker, are welcome!

The beginning of the 2007/2008 Ski Season is fast approaching, so mark your calendars!  The season will officially open on Thursday, December 13, 2007.

More good news - Hemlock Valley Resort is scheduled to be open every Thursday until the end of the season, so wax those skis and boards, and start exercising, so that you’re ready for what could be the very best season yet!
